This is Honey Boy the Dove. He was found by a friend in the parking lot of a local Seattle area grocery store with a broken wing and he was bleeding. My friend picked him up and took him to a vet clinic and they told her that there was nothing they could do for him and that he would most probably die. That wasn't good enough for her so she went to a pet store and bought some "bird things" and took her bleeding dove home and put him in his cage and nursed him back to health. That was in 1989 and as of 2011, he was still alive at the age of 22. I captured this picture of him in 2006 using natural light from a window. He was sitting on his owner's finger.
